Amazon App Store Experience

I wanted to hear from people who have experience with apps in the Amazon App Store. Preferably people that had apps in iOS and Android app store prior and then released that same game onto the Amazon store.
The reason is because I've been looking around reading articles trying to find out if it is worth putting an app on the market. I noticed on a few that IGDA is against some of the terms on the Amazon store. Particularly the fact that Amazon controls your prices. From alot of the blogs and such I have read it actually seems like Amazon is a little power hungry and kind of seems Anti-Developer.
For Amazon to control our pricing i think is wrong. If I have an app on the iPhone and Android markets that sells for 2.99. I then put it on the Amazon store and they decide that they want to list it at .99 (which for them to do would be likely because it pulls people away from the other markets to download). This would drastically hurt my sales on the other markets. Not to mention I have tested my app at .99 cents and I found that it pulls in the most profit at 2.99 because the download rate didn't change much.
I don't know I just wanted to hear from some people that have experience with that market. I just think supporting a market with this much control is throwing our rights away as developers.

That's one of numerous articles I have seen.
I am wondering though have they changed this policy? Cause those articles are around April of last years so it is possible they changed it. I would like to know if they have prior to joining their marketplace to later find out I'm screwed.
I put the same app on Amazon's Market - and it sold 70 copies in 2 weeks.
Here's the app... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.bigcat.wolowitzwhip
