Beam firing different angles has a velocity?

Still working on my cannon game, I've run into a problem with one of the weapons I can't figure out. Using the "health bar" tutorial as my base model, I reversed it to create an extending beam-type weapon. It fires completely straight.

This actor behaves perfectly when firing horizontally, however when it's fired at an angle, it suddenly begins to move forward. The remainder of the behaviours still work, but it moves forward like a squeegee blade accross the screen. Any thoughts as to how to eliminate this problem?

Looking at your code I would say you need to delete the second rule and then let the first attribute take it's value from this thing (I am pointing at something on my screen right now) or simply let the other value add + (X) to whatever these two attributes record.

are... you trying to tell me that my description is difficult to understand? If you wanted me to post my code, all you had to do was say so...

"If you wanted me to post my code"

I don't want you to do anything you don't want to do.

"you trying to tell me that my description is difficult to understand?"

    Lol! : )

Your description is fine, I think your problem is in "the remainder of the behaviours".
