Ok maybe this is known but i just discovered the following.
If you drag a unflattened PSD file into GS you will get a small version PNG file. It isnt full size but rather the thumbnail size. Photoshop basically generates a small png as its preview. WHich saves us a ton of time.
Why is this helpful?
Well, I am sure i am not the only one who builds my levels with "test" or filler graphics first.
Also, it is a pain to have to flatten and or export your image to PNG every time you make a tiny change to it. Even more so if your PSD file is larger than 72dpi (and most of probably do keep the working file large now for Ipad as well). Meaning you have to resize and and export just to view in GS.
Basically you can preview your graphics and get them how you want first just by dragging your current LARGE UNFLATTENED PSD files into GS.
Once you have them the way you like and you are satisfied then simply export to To PNG with the same name and drag over to GS. This will replace the small filler graphic with your final version.
This is such a time saver if you are like me and can tweak a graphic 10 or 15 times before you finally settle for the right one.
Hope this helps anyone who was unaware.
