Is there a Size limit for sound Tracks?

Ok, say I wanna put a 50-100 mb song in an App and run it.
(Don't Question me as to why please)

Would it work and is there a limit? Or could it be huge and not matter because it's a track.. and data is at BPM or something?
Detailed or brief answers are much appreciated ya'll!!

That's a huge audio track...you could do it but it will probably slow down your scene big time

    Would the music slow down?
So there's no limit? Wouldn't crash?

    "Would the music slow down?"

    Like an old tape recorder !? . . . . . No.
The load time on the scene will be affected though.

"and data is at BPM or something?"

My non-sequitur alarm is going off : ) BPM is the tempo of the track (beats per minute) and has nothing to do with file size or 'data' (whatever you mean by that ?).

hahaha.... Ok I have a 20 minute long track. Does that matter when the scene has loaded and running? Could the song be 5 hours long...

"hahaha.... Ok I have a 20 minute long track. Does that matter when the scene has loaded and running? Could the song be 5 hours long..."

There is no difference between a 20 minute song and a 5 hour song - to Gamesalad - other than the file size.
A 5 hour song that is 50mb will take the same amount of time to load as a 15 minute song that is also 50mb.

    If a 1 hour song @ 128kbps is 70Mb . . . then . .
    A 2 hour song @ 64kbps would also be 70Mb . . . and . .
    A 4 hour song @ 32kbps would also be 70Mb . . . and . .
    A 2 hour song @ 128kbps would be 140Mb.

Etc etc, it's up to you to juggle data rate, stereo/mono, bit depth, sample rate, VBR on or off etc etc.

You can have a 5 hour song if you want, but if you want a high-quality file it will use up more memory - and if you want a small file size the quality will have to be dropped.

    Small file sizes load faster.

@Tynan - Sorry if I confused you with the BPM thing haha.

Ok so a music file in one scene (maybe even with other music files)
    One Song = 50 mb
    second song = 100 mb
    Third song = 200 mb.

Will performance or Ram be affected at all or will it only be the load times?

    Thanks heaps btw :)

    "Thanks heaps btw :)"

No one has called me 'heaps' since my last parole officer has his 'accident' [wipes tear from eye].

    "One Song = 50 mb
    second song = 100 mb
    Third song = 200 mb."

    I don't know what this means, you've gone all 'BPM' again. : ) ???

"Will performance or Ram be affected at all or will it only be the load times?"

I don't think performance would be effected although I can't say for sure.
Ram, of course, will be effected, you have just loaded 350MB of audio into Ram, as an educated guess you will have around 350MB less Ram available to you.
    : )
