Hi there fellow salad tossers. (that could go either of two ways).

: )

I have a question . . .

I have joined a couple of objects together using the magic of maths, but the problem is that only one object (the 'parent' object that the second object is constrained to) is colliding with the things I have told it to collide with - the 'child' object simply passes through stuff I have told it to collide with ?

Here's an example (open and hit preview): http://www.mediafire.com/?agxufjdnz3qn3ji

I have told the red object in this scene to collide with the lilac coloured actors, but it's just not happening.

Is this something I should just abandon, do constrained objects lose their ability to collide or am I just over looking something ?

Cheers in advance for any clues that might help . . . . . ?

    Hey Tynan ,
First , know that constrain (and interpolate) are overriding the collide behavior .
Now , to achieve this effect you gonna need joints , which we don't have at the moment , ill try to think of some solution and if i come up with something ill let you know !

Mmmmm . . . just tuned off constrain rotation on the red handle and it's colliding with the lilac block (but of course the rotation is then screwed up).

I am thinking that this is not going to work out . . . ?

I see ! Of course !! Battle of the rules ! They are both trying to do their own thing.

Cheers Roy, any input would be much appreciated.
