Before I send my app to Apple, I know I have to have a registered business or a company. But is a registered business name with an ABN enough? Or do I actually have to have a registered company? Registering a company is pretty expensive where as getting a business name is fairly cheap.

Thanks!

I didn't really register a company. Sorry man it was a while ago, but it wasn't as big of a hassle as I originally thought.

Just register for GST and submit your ABN to I think and you're good to go.

You didn't "really" reg a company? Well you either did or didn't lol. You should know if you have a business or a company, there is a huge difference. That's cool though, thanks for your help mate.

Put it this way, my account works and it doesn't come up under a company name.
Call Apple man, I did stuff all and it works.

ABN is all they require, you just register under your own name as a soloe proprietor

Ok, I understand now, thank you very much guys.

I was told that Apple require you to be registered for GST as well. Is this true? I hope not because the only time you have to be reg for GST is when you're turning over at least 70k p/year, otherwise you're paying fees for nothing.
