Actor Animation Visibility on/off

I've been digging through the forums (search is still useless), and the web for cached articles, but no findy.

I have a scene that is dedicated to the intro story. It features a series of animations running timers matched to a VO/soundtrack.
The only issue I am having is I need some of the static animations (they do not move from their position) to appear when needed and disappear on time. I tried various methods via the attribute field such as alpha 0, or visibility off and setting a rule to make them visible again via the timer. no worky.

I may have answered this myself as I was tinkering just now, I did not enter edit the prototype. I'm thinking my answer is I need to create an attribute for this. Am I on the right track?

I'll keep jacking with this maybe one of you hotdogs will beat me to it. ;)

On another note, I have resized these animated sprites to be iphone friendly, but the scene takes about 2 to 3 seconds to load via GS, I have not tested it out on the viewer yet. I'm hoping that after setting up these timers and visible only when needed, it will speed up that load time.

    HAHAHA I got it! Interpolate!!!

If anyone has a suggestion about the load time, please let me know.

*edit* Oh boy, yes that interpolate is amazing. Now that I remember what Gyroscope and Tynan had told me about it before, I think I got this all under control. The ability to smoothly scale with this behavior will save my butt on app size issue.
