Will we be able to use GS to make interactive content with the HTML widget?

    you can download ibook maker for free(i haven't opened it yet). but it's probably easier to use than GS, well anything made by apple is meant to be easy

    and, OMG it is phenomenal! …
    if you have never down ePub, you are lucky to start with this … if you have, you will really,really appreciate this program!

    I am off on so many tangents … GameSalad's 0.9.9 and tables … iBook Author … iTunes U complete online courses!
    all with-in 2 days! I have works-in-progress in each … and can't decide which is the most fun!

    and, no matter what I have currently open … my mind keeps churning with ideas to try in the others!
    always did have mild ADHD and now it seems to be severe.

    I'd be interested to see if GS will be allowing HTML 5 output that would work as a Dashcode widget. I believe in theory this would work fine (with e exception of certain features (iap for example )) any comment chefs?

    This looks cool but definitely read the reviews. It seems it is still very lacking. Also your books created with this software can only be published to the ibookstore.

    @lukeallen1986 We have been begging for more options with HTML5 for quite some time. ultimately the option to make custom sizes and export to html5 that we can use anyway we want are the most desired. I do hope they do it eventually. they have mentioned in some of their comments improving the HTML5 side so unfortunately we will have to wait and see for now.

    better yet … read some samples of textBooks in the iBookStore …
    what some reviewers claim as features lacking; seem, to me, to be their own capabilities' lacking.

    # 1 criteria for being a good writer … is being a good reader!
    the name of the app is: iBooks Author
    you use the app to create iBooks!

    you can export your work as a pdf with links … so app is neat way to make pdfs
    you can export your work as an iBook for use on your device or freely give to others to use on their devices
    you can sync/upload your iBook to the iBookStore … and offer to the public as Free or Fee

    all the procedures are in the Help with Links to assist you in completing the process …
    all the protocol for distribution is in the About > License Agreement …

    iBooks Author is Free and Fun and Easy!

    This is probably going to push me over the edge and force an upgrade to Lion. 179 reviews averaging around 90% indicate to me that Apple have got this right . iWork , certainly Pages and Keynote, are class leading applications and apparently this is by the same team.

    A couple of caveats I see with iBooks Author is that you can't used the document anywhere but the Apple Book store and you HAVE TO create a separate developer account to publish ebooks. I have iBooks Author and I've started offering iBooks design to my clients.

    *you can export your work as a pdf … that is nice way to use what you create.
    *you can export your work as a free iBook which can be used on any iOS device with iBook installed

    iBook Author is for creating iBooks! indeed the some of an iBook functionality is intrinsic in the iOS app.

    @MH yeah it is def awesome, been playing with it a few days ago. I will probably create a free interactive book to up sell Tiny Diggers.

    I agree Ibooks Author is a great app (especially for a 1.0 version). But PDF isn't always a great format for other platforms. If you want to create an eBook for the Apple book store then iBooks Author is probably the best app to use. If you want to make an eBook for any other platform you need to find other software.

    yes find some good software for ePub or if you know html you can create the XMLs and NCX and OPF in your htmlEditor

    or better yet simply use your Lion Automator.app …Text: Text to ePub … to make application, workflow, service

    or that is too complicated … open System Preferences > Keyboard >Keyboard Shortcuts > select Services in the Left column >
    then in the Right √ all the options for Create EPUB … (Files and folders; Text; General)

    here is good How-To

    okay the text formatting is all done … you can unzip the .epub and do some fine tuning …

    Will definitely gonna take a look at this , cause I'm thinking of making a series of kids books on Azoo the squirrel from my game Spin The Nut

    I recently purchased the book creator for iPad :

    It can make an epub book so you are not restricted to ibook store only and can go on amazon etc , and the interface and UI is very simple ..

    Your book project sounds intriguing … and know when you do it, it will be just perfect!
