Does having a "lite" version of your game boost sales a little?

Hey guys,
Penguin Pounce is doing terrible (I think) since it's release. I have only made around $60 (after Apples cut) from it.
I was going to make a lite version of the app so that people can try it and then get hooked.
The title says it all - Does having a "lite" version of your game boost sales a little?
I am going to give them 15 levels. Some from the beginning, and some from the middle of the game where the TNT is used.
Any experience with your own lite version?
Thanks all,
Bray

Out of curiosity, how long has your app been on the app store?
I've only been getting around 2 sales a day as is for Penguin Pounce - hopefully this will boost it by a little.
