Need to learn more about GameSalad

Hello,
This is my first post and I want to start off saying that I love GameSalad and what it does, its a great application. I started messing with GameSalad about two days ago and I already have my first application complete. This is amazing because usually it will take me a lot longer to make this app if I was programming in Objective-C. But here are my questions
1. I was reading up on GameSalad to learn more before I spend $500, and apparently a while back there was 4 versions of GS and they were free, $99, $499, and $1999. Now their is only two versions. Is the price point going to move around a lot or is it going to stay roughly around the $500 mark with two versions the Free and the Pro? I don't want to spend $500 and have it drop to $199 a week later.
2. How much longer will GameSalad be in beta?
3. Before I invest $500 into this, I want to make sure I can get that back plus some. I would like to hear from GS Developers, if you don't mind how long did it take you to reach the $500 mark or to reach the point where you started to gain a Net Income?
4. Will we ever be able to see are code for the applications we create?
I would love to hear from people as well as the GameSalad management about these questions.
Thanks

Don't buy it until you've at least submitted a game. Learn the software first, make sure you haven't just over hyped yourself cause you're making games.
I bought Pro way too early .
Watch youtube videos, watch the the simple tutorials, don't jump into advanced stuff.
Learn attributes first. And what rules are for.
Write a list of what you need to do and follow that. It will help keep you sane.
Trust me, take baby steps. Don't jump into the deep end and you'll do great.
AND WELCOME TO THE TEAM =D>

The price was reduced to $99 for express and $500 for pro 3 years ago when iPhone publishing came out, or shortly after.

I don't expect the pricing to change anytime soon.
They are aming to come out of beta at 1.0 last time I heard, and they are at .9.90, so I would think in the next year or so.
I got my $500 back for express with my first game

but, times change, and the number of apps yours is competing with is much greater … now-a-days!
so, hope for a blockbuster and be happy if you only get your investment back!
I felt GS pro was a good investment!
