The CSV file format for import seems to be a weak option. Your pretty much limited to basic a-z, 1-0 in your imported text, which makes it a pain if you have to import lots of pre-formated data such as quiz questions and answers or story data. Quotations, currency questions, names or correct grammar using ' in imported questions all screw up the tables, meaning that all questions have to be heavily edited to fit the import restrictions.
GS Tables can actually handle most symbols it would seem... just that the CSV file import cannot. So the symbols can be re-edited back into the data once its been imported.... but its a hell of a lot of faffing about for something that should have been a standard import to start with.
I'd suggest it needs a more robust file import format... or import various formats other than just CSV.
And like Tenrdrmer said... Read only Tables was a huge letdown... Writeable Tables when they arrive will hopefully be the real deal.

I agree that writeable tables will be the real deal but hey! Give the guys and gals at GS HQ a chance! ;-) I don't think read-only tables are a letdown at all, just the first step...
Having said that, I personally can't wait for writeable so a long list of booleans can be altered one by one easily... (I need that for a future project of mine...)
i.e When ThisRowName row 1, column 2 is true then Change attribute ThisrowName row 1, column 1 to "Poodles"... (or penguins, depending what you need in the freezer...That's a joke, honest.) :-)
Yeah I agree it was a let down not being writable yet but I just finished doing some work with them and it was soooooo much easier then before. It is a great start for tables!
while tables are read only right now, there are still incredibly powerful. just take a look at some of the templates. There are many types of games that were not possible before that are now.
I'm starting work on a game that would have brought game salad to it's knees a few mths ago on an iPad2, now it's going to work on pretty much every iDevice out there, and with everything in one scene.

Its Definitly a huge Step. Im just not creative enough I guess to see much more that word puzzles as it really helping right now. Seems like every idea I have for tables ends in, "Oh crap, i'll need to be able to write to the table" Im not ragging on GS at all. They are getting there.

I'll just say there is a lot of promise on this subject once they are writable.
