Maybe a noob question but how do I make scene BIGGER !!!

So i've tried every which way but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make a scene BIGGER than the default iPhone LandScape. I need a scene at least double in size. I know there will probably be a logical and simple answer to this but I've searched the forums, cookbook, TSB, EVERYTHING and it isn't explained anywhere ... I don't even know if I'm making any sense !!! I've even looked at the Platformer Template inside GS ( Cuz thats way I'm working on ) and NOTHING !!! :-?? Plz any suggestions will help !!
