    So, let's see if I can translate for the laymen like me out there: By creating the flipping switch construct, you are basically tricking the timer into thinking that, with every switch, the value at that moment is the initial value. Simple. Brilliant. Kudos.

    Now if we can only get the powers that be to get timers to recognize variables, that would be awesome.

    yeah toggle switch is what it is. Actually i think this latest updates of GS there's some rules which also need a 0 sec timer to kick start. don't know why?
