Help make scrolling layers

So i made a huge background bigger than the size of the ipod and then i put it in. But when it is put in you cannot scroll too see the top or sides or bottom. So this means i cannot make my camera follow my player somewhere. It'd be nice if someone can tell me how to make the scrolling background and player thing.

Hello. On that scene, you need to click on the attributes of it and then change the scene size to what your background image is. Your background image should only be 1024 x 1024 (thats all the iphone hardware supports), if its bigger than that you will need to chop up your pictures and piece them together. You will then need to create a moving character with a control camera behaviour inside of it.

I was unable to get layers to scroll that were not the same size as the actual game size.
