My Lite App got rejected by Apple....

My App for sale worked, but this simple light version did not.
Any and all help would be appreciated. This is a joke since I have to resubmit my app and wait 6 more days unless it can be fixed by one of your chefs.

This is what Apple wrote:
2.3

We found that your app did not achieve the core functionality described in your marketing materials or release notes, as required by the App Store Review Guidelines.

This is a game app but when the user launches the app, all it shows is information on Game Salad and how to set it up. Please refer to the attached screenshot.

It would be appropriate to revise your app to ensure this feature is fully implemented or to revise your Application Description, Release Notes, and/or screenshots to remove this content.
While your iTunes Connect Application State will show as Metadata Rejected, we do NOT require a new binary if you only need to change your metadata. (A new binary is required only when you have to also make changes within the app.)

If you only need to change your metadata, please visit iTunes Connect, Manage Your Applications. Select your app, click View Details, then click Edit in the Metadata section, and revise the appropriate metadata values or settings. Once you're finished editing, click "Save", then click "Submit New Metadata" in the top right.

Please be sure to make any metadata changes to all localizations.

For discrete code-level questions, you may wish to consult with Apple Developer Technical Support. Please be sure to prepare any symbolicated crash logs, screenshots, or steps to reproduce the issues for when the DTS engineer follows up. For information on how to symbolicate and read a crash log, please see Tech Note TN2151 Understanding and Analyzing iPhone OS Application Crash Reports.

    Maybe? I don't know. lol
I was advised to follow the steps as in the "GS-Upload your app to Apple"

Why do I need an Ad Hoc? How do I build one?

Right now, I'm starting over with provisioning files. I thought all was OK before since my first app went through the first time! Go figure! lol

    Do an app store build?
As for me, I DON'T know code - which is why I bought the program - and most of what your are saying is new.
Step-by-step would be better, if you have the time.

    First off,
THANKS to both of your responses. I really hope that's all i did.
So, exactly how did I do that? :)
    What steps would I take?
    Thanks

Since my App got rejected, do I have to submit a new binary to Apple?
If so, does that mean I have to create an new App Name > Sku Number > Profiles, etc?
    Thanks

    LMAO!! :D
What steps do I take to resolve this? lol

    lmao, classic.

I honestly don't know how you did that by accident. After you publish your app with gamesalad you'll get back an app file that is the name you chose. When you go to upload to apple via the application loader you select the app you just created. Somehow you seem to have selected the gsviewer app instead. I understand it can be overwhelming at first, but just watch the videos from tshirt and others, and follow the steps on the wiki. You'll get the hang of it.

    First make the provisioning :

    Then publish with GS :

You will have to submit a new binary, but you won't have to create anything new. Just go into itunesconnect and select you rejected app then somewhere within there will be the option to upload a new binary. Just click that, then upload your new binary through application loader. If your first app went through then your profiles are ok. Don't mess with those. You'll just need to make a new distribution profile for your lite version, but you've probably already done that before you submitted the viewer.

An ad hoc is a version of your app that can be directly installed onto your device. This way you can test it and make sure it's not the viewer, before you submit it to apple.

Just make a new distribution profile and select ad hoc instead of app store and use that profile when you publish your app through gamesalad.

I thought i uploaded my .zip file using App Loader.
Since your saying its not my App, would I need to re-publish my app again through GS, .zip it and upload it?
Or, can I keep the one I have?

    Eric,
You wrote: This way you can test it and make sure it's not the viewer, before you submit it to apple.
Do I need the GS viewer on my cell to make this happen?

You wouldn't need to republish if you are sure the one you already have is your actual app. I would just republish again to make sure, considering the mix up the first time.

Yes you do upload your zip using application loader. I said you upload your app because it is your app, just compressed in a zip.

Let me clarify about the ad hoc. When you publish your app through gamesalad you select your provisioning profile. Make two profiles for your game. One development and one distribution. On the distribution select app store. When you publish through gamesalad select your development profile to make your ad hoc version. This version you can load directly on your device. You do not need the viewer for this. After you do this and everything looks good, publish again this time selecting your distribution profile. The resulting file is the one you will upload to apple.

The gs viewer you have to install onto your device using Xcode. It will allow you to test your app on your device without having to publish it.

You will want to do an ad hoc version because even though it may play fine through the viewer on your device, it may play differently in the ad hoc version.

The ad hoc version will play exactly like the version you upload to apple. This way you will know what the customer will experience.

    Thanks again Eric,
Where is real customer support when u need it? Can I speak to an actual tech from GS?
If anyone would like to help me expedite this slow process, you can email me at jrdi2010@gmail.com

You're helpful and I sort of get what your saying, I'm just not clear on certain things.
Step-by-Step Please. Anyone up for that challenge?
Why do i need to create a new Development profile? All these profiles are becoming out of control.
I have an existing distribution, so I'm making one for adhoc (so I know i'm uploading the right file).
Once I make an ad hoc version what do i do with it? Put it in Xcode?
Once I'm ready to actually publish, do I switch them?
I need clarification as if your speaking to a child.
Step by step if you would?

    Eric and All,
NICE! ALL your input has helped in some way or another. lol

I'm running my game and testing it via AdHoc. Cool stuff!
So, after I finish testing my .app file on my cell-and it looks like it is-what would be my next step?
Do I re-publish using the correct Distribution provisioning profile in Xcode?

NOTE: I had to delete my GS viewer from my iPhone. Not sure why. In iTunes, it wasn't syncing the icons. Once I deleted the GSViewer from my cell, I went back to iTunes and pressed the Sync button again. It loaded and I'm now testing.

you can always quick look and see what is the app you are uploading

Right click on it and Show Package Contents…
open the folders esp sound and play the sound

    @jrdi2010 IMO … Apple should have accepted GSViewer.app then we all could download it from the App Store! 8-}

    LOL, Thx.
Where do i find "quick look"?

Just so I make sure I'm taking the correct steps, in iTunes connect, do I press "YES" or "NO" to the question "Have you added or made changes to encryptions features since you last uploaded a binary for this product?"

"no", gamesalad games do not use encryption.

@motherhoose We don't want that, because then they'll try to start up GS direct again. ;)
