Hey everyone,

So far, my latest game is coming out perfect, except for one huge flaw.. All my graphics come out amazing except for the first one a user will see. I have a "loading" scene in the beginning that determines which scene it should go to, blah blah... the image used is 640 x 960, and in GameSalad preview it looks great.. but then I opened it on the viewer on my phone, and it looks HORRIBLE. I attached a screenshot of it in GameSalad and on my phone, of course the one on my phone looks worse when it is on my actual device.. but can anyone explain why this one graphic looks so bad compared to my other graphics?

Thanks,

Make sure your image is at 72dpi , and its dimensions is 960x640 and not 961x640 or something like this ,
Also , make sure its X and Y values are X=160 and Y=240 and not X=160.467 and Y=240.4658

And about the "gradient" , its a known problem , add a layer of grain on top of the image (in photoshop)to reduce the effect you see on your device .
