You can 'import' music (i.e. add music to) your game project and then start/stop it with an actor that looks like a button (or any other event or actor you want to control it).
You 'import' music like you would an image file but if you mean load/save music from within your project, No. There is no real way to record a music stream (i.e. generated through some on-screen note recorder or note arranger like a music app) right now.
Browsing the GS app interface and the online Wiki is your friend (who doesn't shout at you). ;-)
If you are asking, "Can you import music from your iPod into an app built by GameSalad running on your iPhone?"...answer is no...GameSalad Apps are self contained and do not communicate with anything in the outside world once published on a device...other than opening a web page (with the pro version).
Any music that you use in the App would have to be placed in the app prior to publishing to iTunes...like a soundtrack.
So... Building a universal MP3 player with GameSalad? NO Building a self-contained soundtrack app for your local garage band? Probably Yes.
