Best way to do it...

I currently am making a runner game. The obstacles come onto the screen from the right and the main character has to jump and duck to avoid. I cannot find a way to make it not laggy. Currentl alll the obstacles are on the right of the screen and move onto it, before this i had them spawn on the right and move on...

Anyone got a better way, because at the moment it is unplayable on my ipod (although its fine when i preview on my computer..)

Cheers.

The preview window is laggy as such it's not a true representation of how it will function on your device. Same with the viewer, it is unreliable. These things as GS points out are only for seeing how your build is going and not a true representation of performance. To really see how your game performs you need to do an ad hoc. In my opinion with the new a5 chip set and graphics power recycling is becoming over rated. I don't use it at all and my games work well. Remember Apple is dropping support for armv6 devices so building your performance with those devices is a waste of time.

Umm, anyone got any links to an adhoc tutorial or just a brief description of what it is? :P Sorry, bit of a newbie

    Thanks guys :)
