How close is the iOS simulator in Xcode to an actual iOS device

i am getting between 55-60 fps on my game, would this be exact on a iPhone 4s, 4, 3gs?

The simulator in xcode isnt very accurate, since your computer will always run alot faster then the device. The gamesalad viewer will give you a better representation with fps. They only way to tell exactly is to do an adhoc build.

Its just close enough to not be reliable for anything useful. Also if your doing something like running the viewer in the simulator so you can run the viewer without a device its even worse than normal.
