quite jerky on first play, smooth thereafter

Hi.. Has anyone noticed this?
When I create myself an ad-hoc build and install it on my phone, the first time I run it, the frame-rate is really erratic. if I quit and restart the app though, it runs as expected.

It seems to be on pretty much everything too...not just stuff with lots of actors.

On my game Avoid-em-up, the first scene is just a logo moving onto the screen, and I see the same results there, juddery on the first load, fine on every load afterwards.

    It could be that the iPhone was low on memory and is doing memory management/cleanup while your application initially launches and runs? So, by the time you exit, all that large memory that it occupied is now clear, and the next launch becomes smoother?

    could be... just seems odd that it's every time I guess.

    Yes I've noticed exactly the same thing every single time. I'm using an iPhone 3G.
    It will stutter if it's trying to bring in email and all but that seems to be different.

    Is there a surefire way to force everything in our game to load up on start up so it's not trying to load during game play?
