edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
Hi Guys,

Thanks to the forum members, our 1st game using GS is nearly finished.

For my 1st game i wanted to keep it very simple but pleased with the results and Busy Bee has that "one more go" appeal.

We have to include more polish and a lot more sounds and music but as you can see for 2 weeks work it's coming along nice.

Hope to release by the end of next month (after marketing).

Darren.

Ha nice! Reminds me of that dag-nabbed Alice in Wonderland Teacup ride at Disney lol!
This would be awesome if the whole thing had a slow scroll to it. Might add to the tension.

    Looks good! Thanks for sharing.

Not bad for a simple little game...
    I recommend the following...
Improve your score graphics...like a rolling score:
    here's a tut: http://gamesalad.com/browse/search?searchType=games&q=rolling+score

Also, include some random bonus things...like if you bee flies over a ladybug or something he kisses it...a heart pops up and he get bonus points.

I also agree that it would be good if you scrolled across the screen from left to right...as if there were a finish line down the road.

Also...most gamers like big score...go with a 100 point scale instead of a 1 point scale.
    Nice first app though.

    Looks nice

You ever see best in show?

"what!!! You lost busy bee....... .....This isn’t a BEE. This is a BEAR in a BEE costume!”

    Thanks guys.

I have included a honeycone collectable that will give you a score bonus.

I did think about using this mechanic in another game with a goal and scrolling screen nice you also think it would work (watch this space!)

Rolling score, yes i will take a look :) thanks for that and also the big score advice.

Awesome! Looks very good! Very polished already!

FYI, NimbleBit has a similar game coming out soon called "DizzyPad" with a frog instead of a bee. I only mention it because TouchArcade did a big writeup of it yesterday:

Hopefully you can beat them to the punch!

How ironic a frog and lilly pad was going to be my 2nd choice (lets hope the Bee wins).

    "extermunate, extermunate!"

Maybe. I just did a yahoo and google search and a Merriam-Webster lookup. Either a lot of people are spelling it wrong on their web pages, or there is some web search blocker not allowing me to find alternative spellings.

    Those crazy Brits...always mis-spelling everything!
