About Camara help please

hi!@! thanks in advance!!!! i'm making a platform game, and i have no idea how to do a camera moving forward automatically (like old style Mario Bros) ??? instead the camera follow the character, i want character follow the camera... can it possible , I'm new here, explain in detail, please i appleciatte it.....

    (when you say character follows the camera, instead of camera following the actor? isn't that the same?or do you mean when camera moves forward, it pushes the actor along? to do that you simply create "walls" on, non-movable layer, outside of your camera border., and make a collide rule with your actor(that's in movable layer).)

    Ultima sorry, yeah... that's what i mean , when the camera moves forward automatically after the game start, it pushes the actor along , explain in detail please and thanks..

    perhaps someone more capable than i'm can do that for you =) I'm not very good with explaining how to do things in GS. but the general idea is that you simply set a non-movable wall around your camera and it'll push around all of your movable actors (when the actors have a collide rule with the walls) ok, i basically repeated what i said above... someone else try this =)
