Create steam/smoke particles, struggling

This video shows how to make a nice blurred moving actor using particles but its based on moving with a keystroke
Change it so it moves in the direction you want out of the pipe - set some timer and variation on it coming out,choose a nice picture of a cloud or something (maybe the one from the canon physics template) and give it a go

create your steam image and set it as the image in the Particle Behavior

and, I forgot that the Platformer Template in the GS startScreen uses Particles on the Torch actor.

and actually someone else has posted a similar thread about a car with smoke coming out but when car rotates it doesnt follow correctly - use the video above and then use a bit of gs knowledge etc and have a play - the logic is simple if you have it working one direction you can easily make it work in others

I just stuck the two words 'Smoke' & 'Particle' into Google images and they were the two first images that came up, they are just some motley, noisy greyscale images, I stuck them in Photoshop and played around with them a bit . . . you can probably do some of your own in Photoshop in a couple of minutes . . . .
