camera question

I'm working on a jump game and all of it takes place on the x axis as the screen size is elongated on the x and my Y axis is the normal iphone screen size. My actor starts on the far left and runs to the right and never has reason to go back. How to I offset the camera so I can have more viewing to the front of my actor? I have the camera closed down all the way but would like to use all the forward space I can.

Thanx! John Papiomitis had an even easier way. I just constrained the camera's x to my players X -60 since I want room to the right and it works like a charm! So I imagine if one wanted room the other way it would be a postive number.

invisible camActor ahead of your Jumper … controlling the camera?
    drag onto scene
    unlock that instance and add:
    --constrainAttribute: self.Position.X To: > Current scene > layers > whateverLayer > actor > Position > X ±100

    so hardily agree! … TSB

but, I will unlock controlActors and cameraActors … as they are seldom placed in the screen more than once.

@motherhoose I didn't mind unlocking as all the jump code et...is set so this was really a instance actor. My prototype is still intact on the other scenes as I may use the camera differently. Thank you both for the help.
