Hey guys,
Just about a week ago, I started creating my first full game called Reckless Pizza. You are driving a pizza truck to a customers house guided by arrows. But wait! Thanks to Tynan, the game will look more like a pizza game. Instead of coins as shown in vid #1, there will be pizza toppings, and a blank pizza in the HUD. In order to complete the level, you need to fill your pizza up by collecting certain toppings. If your pizza requires 5 anchovies, 10 cheddar cheeses and 15 tomatoes, then you need to collect all of those. There will also be a serving limit so that if it serves 5, the pizza in the HUD will be divided into 5 pieces. Each time you pick up a wrong ingredient, you go back to the previous slice, almost like a mini checkpoint within the game to get you to the end with a full pizza. There will also be cop cars chasing you, and other things you might want to avoid. More to come!

Please Note: Any comment, good or bad, is extremely helpful.

First Preview(PLEASE NOTE: These are not final graphics. I might change the car, and add in more obstacles, as well as a new look for the actor 'wall'.)

    Looks like fun ! Definitely need a texture on the ground do you can gauge speed and distance. Skid marks from the cars tyres would be cool too . . .

    But enough of the game review . . . . . . where's my Sea Food Special with extra cheese ?

    . . . . the 'coins' you pick up, could they not be pizza toppings (tomato, cheese, peppers, olive . . . etc)

    @Tynan

    Yes, I am gonna put ground to gauge speed. I think I mentioned that in the video(Did I?)

    @Tynan second comment

    YES, ITHAT IS GENIUS. I will/can do that. Makes more sense too. And instead of crates, I could have toppings that the person does not want on their pizza, or something that is the opposite of pizza

    thx for th comments!

    Maybe a pizza order can be generated randomly from a menu at the start of each run, let's say the order comes through for a vegetarian . . . then you have to collect the vegetarian toppings on the way to the delivery point, run over a piece of chicken or pepperoni and lose points . . . . ?

    You could also have a blank pizza in the top right hand corner of the screen (on the HUD with the score so it doesn't move) and it's divided up like a Trivial Pursuit cheese thing (whatever they are called) and as you pick up the toppings on the way to your delivery you need to fill in all 6 slices (or however many there are) before you can deliver . . .?

    I will probably do something along that line. Maybe kinda like temple run, where everytime you fill one slice up with enough toppings, cheese, and sauce, you would get bonus points, but if you hit a wrong piece, your car stops for 1 second, and you lose your streak. I was also thinking about possible having a random pizza that you need to collect.= the exact toppings for.

    Ok, I am just creating toppings. Anyone know how to draw anchovies?

    Looks fun but that is a mighty big scene you have there, is it slowing down the game or is the car suppose to be moving so slowly?
    I really want to know how are you moving the car and making it rotate?
  • EthanZarovEthanZarov Member Posts: 156
    @GLGames I think it is somesort a acelerate thing. I am kinda new, and I dont reallky know how to make it rotate well, any advice?
    I wanted to make the car move faster, but the controls and programming makes it hard to do that. I think my commands are accelerate, and rotate. Yes, they are bad. I am gonna change it to how tshirtbooth does it, but before that, I need to know how you can control turns. and, I probably wont use the whole screen, so I am gonna make it smaller. Also, when I said there was lag, my computer and Computer screen record make it somewhat laggy
