My game doesn't rotate when I move/turn my iPad

Hi guys,

Probably another of my silly questions; why my game doesn't rotate when I move my IPad as other apps do? I mean you all know that if you have an app opened and you turn your iPad the application will turn to accommodate its view to the normal position, why my game doesn't do that. Thanks :-?

On every scene in your game you need to go to "Scene" -> "Attributes" -> "Autorotate"
And flag the orientations you want to enable .
For Landscape project - flag both landscape right and landscape left.
For portrait project - flag both portrait and portrait upside-down .

Glad you got your question answered, @franken2778 !

    Hi Roy

Oh phooee, I knew I'd forgotten something.... my first app is awaiting approval at the moment and I've only just amended the game file as per your information, re: scene Autorotate. It's certain that Apple will reject it because of this as I put both ways in the GS Publishing section before getting the binary made......

On iTunes Connect, Manage Your Applications, in the Details section, I see that I can Reject this Binary; if I do, and upload another binary, will it automatically load in place of the rejected one, can you confirm please, with all the metadata, etc., still in place or will I have to start afresh?

iPad: End of the Earth game coming soon to the iTunes App Store.... (although now, not quite as quickly as I thought... ;-)

@gyroscope, are you saying that we HAVE to have autorotate in our games?

Yep all scenes must have both rotations checked so in portrait games both portrait orientations and if a landscape game both of those but only either landscape or portrait unless your game features both. If you don't your game will be rejected.

    Hi @redsky , yes, as @FryingBaconStudios says.

Sorry for taking over your thread, @franken2778 , hope you don't mind! :-)

Anyone know the answer to my question please?

Yeah I have rejected In the past, it no problem. Just reject and then go back and hit ready to upload binary.

Thanks FBS, I'll do that tomorrow.... I doubt they check apps on a weekend so I've got time. :-)

    @Gyro
Actually i had many apps approved on weekends , the latest findings about the review process said that its probably not a human check , but a programs with a series of filters , if your app goes through , your in ;)
Also another point worth mention is that if you reject a binary , and resubmit a new file , you go all the way to the back of the line of the review process.

Thanks for the info, Roy. Useful to know about weekend reviewing, as well as going back to the end of the line of the review process if you reject a binary. I sort of guessed that last one!

I'm getting my revised binary via GSC publishing now (I decided to do it today); I've pushed the button to delete the binary and now have a button which says Ready to Upload Binary. It'll be interesting to see what happens when I click this; I'm guessing it'll just ask me to open Application Loader again to upload and it'll match up with my existing details. Thank goodness for that; it would have a been a bit of a nuisance to register a new app with iTunes Connect... :-)

    Gyro ,
Pressing that button will not give anything dramatic ;) , after you press it just ask you if you want to release it automatically or yourself , and if any encryption has added (just flag NO)

Ah, shame! :-) The binary downloaded 3 mins ago, I pressed Ready to Upload Binary, and it showed exactly what you described, thanks. And the revised binary is uploading now via Application Loader. Simples!!

Thank again for help, Roy. :-)
