URGENT... do you use dropbox, i need help

ok so i have dropbox installed on 3 computers, iam about to sell one so i was cleaning everything so i guess i deleted the dropbox shortcut and i guess the folder too, well i dint know everything on all computer were going to get deleted too, so now i open dropbox on my other computer and its completely empty. and those were my only backup images what should i do?

    Hi, do you mean you deleted your Public folder? Eek, sorry to say, then they are all deleted in that case (I say all; they are one, with your files pointing to the same same single files on the dropbox server, if you get what I mean)

    I hope I'm wrong for your sake; maybe someone will let you know otherwise...

    Have you tried going into your account on the Dropbox website? They might still be there....

    i deleted the whole main folder lol, buy i contacted my brother in mexico and he does still have the images, so thats good, but here in my computer they all are empty thats weird but a least i still have my images :) thanks.

    They DO keep backups on dropbox. Even though it's not a user feature, I've heard of people who contacted them and got data back. I'd try that before you start again.

    Or you could dry dropbox.com/events

    And also, I know this doesnt help right now, but at the very least get an external HDD to do a second backup. And you can get some software to sync at the touch of a button, like Synctoy, which is free.

    Oh that's good you already got them back before i posted. But still try the events screen, it can help.

    Also on the Dropbox website in your account under files there is a show deleted files tab.

    for god sakes people, use time machine!! :)

    and yes, as people have said, if you login to the website you can restore deleted files
