So, I accidentally deleted a gameproj file from my trash and cried. Now that I have mopped up the tears, I used "Stellar Phoenix" to retrieve the files. There are a series of .png folders with images from my game stored inside. There is no gamesalad or gameproj folder. Is there any way to piece together my game with these files? Has anyone else gone through this process?

If you deleted your game file from "Trash" i believe that there is nothing you can do about it.. sorry .

Was it just a GameSalad project file, or was it packaged by the GameSalad servers? If you sent it to GameSalad servers, you can contact them to see if they can help you get it back. If not, you may be out of luck if that program can't retrieve it.

If you open GameSalad (where it says "New") it may be in your recent games.

Gameprojects are just folder structures with .gamproj as an extension to the root folder. If you have all the XML files and resources (png, sound) then rebuilding a project is relatively straightforward - but if you ever published it then as Slick says there should be a copy at GS HQ.

This is a lesson that'll teach you to save iterations of your work.

Don't feel bad, it's happened to everyone in some form or another.
