Setting Up test Users for iAP

Hey All,

I think I am there with setting the iAP up in my game but I am having issues with setting up a test user account so i can test that it works.

I have tried several things but I can't seem to gat any account I create to verify. On top of that, I deleted the test accounts I was using to try and re-create them and now I can no longer use the email addresses.... (This email account already has an Apple account) - no it doesn't, I deleted them!!!

Any help or a pointer to how to set up the account properly would be most appreciated.

Thanks

LBG

So I now have an account for a test user. I have signed out of my regular account in iTunes on my phone. When I try the iAP I was expecting to be prompted to sign in to the test account. All that happens is I get the loading wheel and then nothing....

Sorry if this is an obvious and simple process but this is my first time with iAP's

    Thanks

    Hey @LBG -

What I did was have the email for apple@companyname.com or whatever...That's it.
I then went onto my iPhone, and logged out of my real iTunes account in settings.
Then, I went into the ad hoc with my IAP, clicked the Buy button, and it asked for my log in etc. Put in your test account email and password for this.

Hope this helps, I had a terrible time figuring out how to get this working. :P

EDIT: just saw your new comment.

You NEED to make sure that you are publishing (adhoc) with the same provisioning profile that apple shows...
I would get the loading weel as well, I had to go back and check EVERYTHING to make sure I didn't spell anything wrong, but it just turned out that I was publishing with the wrong provisioning profile.

My provisioning profile matches fine.... Is there a video for the entire process somewhere? This is super confusing....

    Thanks

I have read elsewhere that I need to upload a binary to test iAP. Is this correct??

    Thanks

Now I have read that it isn't necessary to upload the binary but the iAP must be "ready to submit".

Anyone know exactly what has to be done or where I can find good documentation for this please?

    Thanks for any help

you don't need to upload the binary to itunes/apple, just get the IAP settings in itunes correctly.

publish to GS correctly via the IAP tutorial. Receive app back from GS's servers, load to your device, and run it. Should work just fine

Thanks BazookaBen. I am getting confused with all the information I am finding. Does my IAP product ID have to match my APP ID exactly or should it have the product at the end? I am now getting a different error: "Product identifier was not recognised".

    EG, App ID: com.littlebrutegames.myfungame
    Product ID: com.littlebrutegames.myfungame OR com.littlebrutegames.myfungame.fullgameunlock

I also haven't been prompted to log in to my test account. Does this account hve to be verified? I have tried to do this but it wouldn't let me log in using the password I set in the account set up.

I am really sorry for all these questions. Is there a sticky or some good documentation on this? I have looked at the cookbook and, maybe I didn't find the correct documentation but, it seemed to not cover it all in detail.

    Thanks for your help,
