Hi,
What computer do you develop your gamesalad games on?
Does Gamesalad crashes a lot?
Does safari crashes a lot when you try to play a game there?
To me it does...

I'm on a 24" intel dual core iMac. When GameSalad starts to run slow, I quite and relaunch the program and that snaps it right up.

I've not played much in the way of GameSalad games on the web, but the little I have I've not had any crashes. Do you do regular permissions repair on your Mac?

Just have mac mini with 10.6

gs crashes fairly often When editing something with over 200 actors

once gs gets slow the safari plugin can crash too almost like the mem leak is related.

As long as you restart gs real quick when you notice it gettn slow everything is fine

Gamesalad used to crash really hard all the time for me. I'm learning how to use it better now and it crashes less often. I'm assuming I was doing something wrong that it didn't like. It was hard to get used to the program because I was nervous about using it for a while. I am using a 27 inch imac.

MacMini here...haven't seen a need to go up from there.
I restart GS every 15minutes or so to AVOID crashes. I save about every 30 seconds and version update about every 15 minutes when doing major performance/controlling architecture changes or every day when working on graphics development.

Of course I do all my graphics stuff on a separate monster-ofa-processor dualCore AMD Windows machine. MacMini...$500 ... my graphics machine...about $5K (plus software).

1st generation MacBook Air, 2Gb Mem, 64 Gb SSD, Snow Leopard. (Saving up for something faster with more disk space -- at the moment I have 1.5Gb free. Time to remove some stuff.)

When running GameSalad, I save & quit often, so no issues there. But Safari does crash when I've been running games from the website or even just locally. Not predictable, though. Sometimes hours later.

2.5 year old white macbook, with intel chip, 4Gb ram.

Getting better at not letting GS crash, its either more stable or the fact I'm constantly saving a new version, and no not what to.

i.e. be careful when testing with GS viewer on iphone, as going back to change something when still previewing on iphone seems to crash GS.

Don't need a faster mac as yet, but would like a aluminum unibody Mac Pro, just cause they look cool. Maybe when I hit 100 sales a day I will treat myself.

17inch macbookpro 4gig ram, 350gig hdd. Snow Leopard.

it's my first ever mac....I think it might be the best laptop I have ever had :o) (Also looks pretty cool)

aaaaaanywyas, GS crashes a fair bit sometimes, although that might be more to do with rules and stuff I have in certain projects, as it seems to crash a lot less when it's DOING a lot less (if that makes sense). It deffo doesn't crash any less that it did when I was testing out on a Toshiba satelite P200 that I Hackintoshed before I got my real Mac.

    13 inch 2.4ghz white macbook

It's nearly 3 years old now and can still develop games with no problem. The only problem it has is playing games because the graphics card is rubbish.

    Hey guys thats cool!
I have a 24" intel dual core iMac as well, the white model....with 3Giga memory ...
My machine is 3 years old.
I experience some crashes mostly on safari and firefox browser...

I do hope these Mac machines last for more than 3 years, and last more than PC computers....I just wish they continued producing these computers in white and that they offered the Matte screen...My screen is matte, because I hate glossy screens.

I wish I could buy a new Mac model but can't right now...

I really love Macs for what we do.

    4th Gen MacBook - 2gb RAM

I needed to buy a computer and I bought Mac JUST FOR GS!

I restart GS every 10-15 mins. to avoid slowdown and crashes.

I try to save every minute but usually, I forget. So, I save every 10min. before restart. I'm not doing any hard work, I'm not on the limits of GS. Just easy stuff. And no complaints here yet. Found just 1 bug that drives me crazy and f**ks up the work. I'm gonna post it soon.
