Spent the whole day on this and I can't really spend anymore time. I will Paypal $5 to anyone who can provide the solution that solves my problem.

I have moved to a city, new house, which has a brand new router. I followed T Shirt Booth's video 3 times on how to install the Gamesalad viewer on my iphone. Everything was fine except it couldn't detect the Gamesalad Creator.

In order to fix this, I turned the firewall off on the router. Problem seems to be solved as it now detects the GS Creator.

When I try and preview the game, it "compresses the art assets" and then it says "loading game" but the loading bar does not load.

Whenever I try and restart the computer, it does what I just mentioned above. Whenever i delete the GS Viewer on the iPhone and reinstall, it "wait for the GS Creator" but never detects it. So I restart the computer and all of this mess repeats.

Is there a solution that I am overlooking? Any ideas or suggestions?

I had similar issues. I created my own network (Just click "Create Network" in your Mac's network options). Then I had my iphone connect to my mac instead of the internet. I still find that it never connects first time - much the same experience as you, but then I just go back and try it again and it always works the second time. Anyway, give it a shot.

If you are having trouble with your router try a computer-to-computer network. I just turned of my router and set one up in under a minute and it worked first time with my iMAC and iPAD. Quicker transfer than my usual method which is my isp provided router.

No 5$ required of course but if I hadn't turned my router off I would have answered quicker : )

@8BitGrenade I used to have this issue on my Xoom (Android Tablet), the only way I fixed that was using USB cable instead wi-fi.

Thanks for your replies. This is really frustrating.

@Calvin9403 - I made sure they are on the same network. The GS Viewer and the GS Creator are the newest version.

@HappyKat - I created my own network but still does not work.

@Rob - I tried what you suggested but nothing.

@mmzbr - I don't have a way to connect with USB at this time so I am not sure if that would work.

It's so weird. Sometimes the GS Creator can connect to the GS Viewer and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the GS Creator doesn't give me the option of viewing in the GS Viewer but sometimes it does. Sometimes the GS Viewer freezes when I click on the icon on my iPhone. I'm not sure what to do.

@8BitGrenade: trust me, you're not alone..
    Try the following:
    (1) Disable bluetooth (can be found under general in settings)
    (2) If that doesn't work, try putting your device on airplane mode and then connecting to the same network as your computer
