Hi team GS, why not divide the price of the Pro license for the feature?

I was a pro account, now I can not buy the Pro license, please consider permit users to buy only what they need.

Example:

game salad base $ 00,00

- iOS In-App Purchase $ 83,00
- Android Publishing $ 83,00
- Open URL $83,00
- Game Center $83,00
- iAds $83,00
- Innovative Monetization $ 83,00

if the user buy all feature the total is $ 498,00 , but if the user use only the one feature spend only $ 83,00

The world's economic crisis, This is an important opportunity for all user

This is really a great idea.
At the moment I don't want to buy the Pro version but in this way I'd certainly buy at least two feature (Android Publishing, OpenURL).
    Bravo Venon ;)

This is nothing revolutionary. People have been begging for this stuff for years. I personally think its a horrible idea. Yeah Gs may get a bunch of people to upgrade to one feature but they may also lose a !@#$% load of people going down to one feature.

You get to use and publish and submit game for FREE how can you still complain about it? its 100% free. If you don't like the strings attached to the Free price point. or you think they are holding you back. Then you need to step up and buy pro. Otherwise be thankful you get to use it all for FREE. They have not limited your games quality. Only the extra features that can make you more money. If you want to make more money with all the new shinny features then you need to spend some money to do it, Economic Crisis or not. If you are doing this to make money. You have to spend the money nessacary to do it. What do you think will happen to your business if GS cant pay the bills because they are trying to help everyone out? its gone. Your done and so is everyone else. They have set a fair price for the added features. If you want them buy them. If your games are not making enough to pay for it then those extras are not going to magically make up the difference.

Im getting off my soap box now. I'll try to hold back and further hate on this matter but you never know.

    Cheers

I think it may be helpful to compare GS and it's direct competition (I didn't include higher-end SDKs like Unity 3D, etc.).

GS Free (includes iOS publishing) = $0/year
    GS Pro = $500/year

    iStencyl Free (no iOS/Android publishing)= $0/year
iStencyl Pro (includes iOS publishing but no Android publishing as of now) = $149/year

    Corona Free (no iOS/Android publishing) = $0/year
Corona Indie iOS (includes iOS publishing) = $199/year
Corona Indie Android (includes Android publishing) = $199/year
    Corona Pro (includes iOS/Android publishing) = $349/year

    GameMaker: Studio (includes iOS/Android publishing) = $TBD (~Q1 2012)

It's interesting that GS is the only one of the SDKs above (excluding GameMaker: Studio since there's no pricing info available yet) that doesn't use the ability to publish as the main differentiator between the free and paid versions. I obviously did not compare them on a feature to feature basis. If you want that info, please visit each company's site. I hope I did not break any forum rules by posting this information here but I think it's important in a discussion of GS's pricing model to see how where it stands in relation to the rest of the market.

Since we are on this subject yet again...

I think the issue is that by themselves some of the Pro features do not worth the money (e.g. Open URL, iAds, Innovative Monetization...), while others have a lot of value (IAP, Game center, removal of Innovative Monetization). It also makes the pricing a bit complex. I would prefer a lower pro price, but no free iOS publishing. The fact that iOS is free and Android is Pro is strange given that iOS is much more attractive market.

GS Free (include Android publishing only) - $0 this keeps the GS mantra and diffrentiator that everyone can publish
GS Basic (iOS, iAds, Innovative Monetization) - $199
GS Pro (IAP, Game Center, URL/Facebook/Twitter) - $399

ah we all have our wants for our money … anything that enables a developer to make more profits should be pro!

anything that enables a developer to publish to a store should cost.
(youngsters can publish to desktop and share with their peers)

and, GS was like that before …

Any list that includes making/publishing games for a yearly subscription fee should, also, compare the cost with the platforms that are available for outright purchase
    Unity; LiveCode5; etc.

and for those who want to go native in their html grassSkirts … PhoneGap which is absolutely free.

you're independent … so while the price of your workspace is a factor:
what you can do … and what your platform can do with that … should be your main consideration

Like any product, having a range options and entry points can lead to greater revenue. GS is leaving money on the table if a free user would have paid $x amount for some portion of Pro functionality. Or, if it was monetized by a per application/project cost. There are lots of ways that I'm sure GS has explored this but it seems very clear that they could monetize beyond the free version and below the Pro.
