Rolling a ball on a wave lined ground - possible?

Sorry for the title, but I couldn`t find a really good short explanation (I should learn english :-P)

So, to the topic: It`s probably not possible without pixel collision, but hope dies last.

I want to roll a ball driven by gravity on the ground, which is not straight, but has waves, hills and holes in it.

If anybody can help me with a solution, I would be thankful. I am in a net coffee shop now, so I can`t really look for demos and such.

Like you say, not possible without pixel collision.

One work around depending on your design, you could create lots of small objects 'squares, rectangles and circles' that you can lay over your 'waves, hills' to create a suitable solid layer for the ball to collide with.

Thanks. I also thought about that solution, but it is not working in my case, because the line would be always dynamic. I mean, it is not always the same, but changes from game to game and player to player.

I think, I have to wait for pixel collision.
