How to Switch Actors and BG's?

Hello , I am just learning GS and am having some trouble. I am working with a template and want to switch out the actors and backgrounds, etc with my own original art. I cannot figure out how to do this and still retain the attributes of the original actors. I searched the forum but could not find an answer. If anyone could offer any help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Drag your art onto the actor and it will change that actor's image to the new one, unless you have unlocked instances in the screen that have changed images.

Import your own art into GameSalad, and then drag an actor from the bottom bin where it was imported to, and drop it on the actor either in the top bin, or on the stage that you want to replace it with. You may need to resize it since it will take on all attributes of the image you are replacing.

Have you looked through all the youtube videos that are available for GameSalad? They give you a great idea on many of GameSalads basic functions and how to implement them.
