Lettering Problem

I have all the letters and I want it so when you click it they go to the appropriate spot to spell a word. e.g You want to spell brain. B then r then a then i then n. However I do not want it to be like when you click r it goes to the second spot. Understand? Here is a video! I know where I went wrong but I do not know what else to do!

    An 'A', then an 'n', then . . . . . . !@#$% . . . I know this one . . . . . a 'o' . . . no! Damn! Not an 'o' . . . . hold on . . . . I know . . . a 'y', yes . . a 'y' . . . ok. . . . then an 'o' . . . and then . . . an 'n' . . . and finally another 'A' . . . no, hold on that's not right . . . Mmmmm . . . Ah! . . . an 'e', yes !! An 'e' !!!

    How did I do ?

    I think tshirtbooth is the guy to ask on this one, he's done a few of the these kinds of things and generally knows what he's talking about !
