Cut the rope....

Hey you guys !

Does anyone know how to make the "rope" in "Cut the rope" game in Gamesalad ?

    . . . . until we get joints it's going to be 'Cut The Stick' for now.

    Um... GameSalad is technically capable of ropes and chains. But doing it requires messy math (trig and verlet integration) and often cuts the framerate down to unacceptable levels if there are more than a few joints (say 10 or so).

    But the "rope" in cut the rope looks like it usually consists of under 10 links. So it is possible.

    (I've worked it out but have decided its not worth the effort to optimize it. I'm waiting for the official GameSalad version of joints.)

    Not yet. We'd need joints.

    I tried it once and it was ridiculously complicated. Even after getting it to actually work, it was not at all playable and that was only with 4 links.

    I actually made a demo that collides with objects pretty well too
