Works in GS but not device...

Hey guys, I recently posted asking how I can make the unlock and locked levels and save it. Well, I figured it out and it works perfectly fine in GS but as soon as I test on my device, it doesn't work at all. I have restarted GS several times and I just don't know what to do. Has anyone else had this problem before?

What device are you using and what version of ios is it running?

I am on the iPhone 4s and it running iOS 5.0.1

Alright, so I have my levels that are locked. In GS I play and it unlocks them. I test on my iPhone 4s and it shows them still locked after I get to my levels. I also added music and stuff after all that and it plays the music and everything just fine.

Yes, I did check that other thread and followed the instructions.

I don't know if it's where I placed my load and save attribute but why would it still work in GS then?

are you using the viewer or an adhoc??
If you use an adhoc, I think you have some wrong saving rules...

Here is the video to review. Also make sure your level or score are created as game level attributes and not scene level.

I use the viewer and I have already seen that video. I have another game that I have saves for but it only saves the high score, not separate levels like this game. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have my level scene and my level actors in there. Within my level actors, I save my unlock attribute in there and I have load attribute at my main menu. I don't know what's wrong. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Post your code and we can look at it. You're unlock attribute need to be a game level attribute or it won't load until the scene does. So say you have a game level attribute that says level one is unlocked and your button for that scene should reference that game level attribute to check if it's unlocked or not. This is The cookbook video on lock and unlock levels.

I see your problem in image 820 you have an (= sign) when it should be greater than and equal to.

I caught that too and changed it after I took the pictures. It worked in GS after I changed it a few days ago but it just doesn't work on my device.

It will always work in gamesalad because you cant test save and load in the creator, just so you know.

Then how will I know if it works or not on my device?

By doing adhocs or testing on the viewer via the recent games tab.
