Hello all,

since It's been a few weeks since I've been working on my new game (my first REAL game), I've decided to start a development thread, for I to keep track of what to do, and get feedback from you guys.

It's a cannon blaster game (think angry birds, but with a lot of different behaviors), where you have to shoot all the skull pirates and ghouls, only having four shots per level. It's a physics game, since you shoot, destroy, make crates drop onto your enemies, shoot through maze like crazy mayhem to get to your goal... many things, already implemented! All is still work in progress, but It's being developed at a steady rate.

GAME TITLE (secret, cannon blaster is just the main idea beyond the game)

Game engine and scripting : 75% done.
Levels : 60 (7 levels done).
Secret Bonus Levels : 10%.
Enemy types : about 10 ( 4 done ).
Music : original score being composed (courtesy of my musician brother).
Sound FX : 20% done.
GUI : 90% done.
Menus and such : 25% done.

Some pics. I'll always post low quality ones, so that my artwork can't be stolen. We all know that happens and ruins all of the hardwork some of us have.

PS: How do you put the images showing in this forum? Thanks in advance!

That looks sick, I have already subscribed to your thread. From the pictures looks like a good game and from the description it sounds cool :)

Of course your advice is welcome tshirtbooth!
I have most of the things you've said done. What I mean is that I don't have most of the graphics yet, so almost every item is pretty much just the default block for now :P
I've had some trouble at the beginning getting everything to work, from understanding the physics and such. Then the level lock/unlock, which I searched here. What is cool is that Gamesalad is pretty straight forward from the point you understand its basic functions . I'm really liking it, since I'm a graphic designer and not a programmer.

    Thanks for your advice!

I continue to develop my game, at a steady pace! It's coming out nicely, and I've tested and implemented with good success some features like curve collision! Not perfect, but usable!

    :)

And I am waiting for the approval of my template in MarketPlace! It will feature many of the features I'm developing for my game :)
