Alright make me an RPG with a 30 hour long story with incredible graphics and intriguing sound effects. For $500 it is a steal since I think I can get an easy 1k of it or more.

This is not a good idea to charge $500 for a game you need to look at the type of game and charge accordingly. This is for future reference if you ever do start this business of making games for others also don't offer this on a forum of game developers, we can make our own game, hopefully, offer it on a website for people who love games or a forum for other things besides game dev.
