Why isn't my FPS going down?

I am just playing around with the viewer, and I have an actor firing 3 bullets a second, and at no point in the bullets code do I have them destroying myself. However, my framerate is at a steady 58 fps. Why isn't this huge amount of actors slowing it down?

    Actors with few rules hardly slow the game down. It's the actors you spawn/move with lots of rules that are the problem.

    Oh really? I had no idea. I thought that would have minimal effect.

    The actors are automatically destroyed after they get some distance off stage.
