Music or Sound HELP

I have a few question, recently i added a MP3 music have 3.7MB when i imported to GS as Music it took 1.4MB but as a Sound is the same size (1.4MB), but when i imported the same music but with the format OGG it took me 3.7MB damn....
which is better for?? because GS recommended OGG Format, but it take me a lot of space.....
