Hi guys! I have been using Gamesalad for a while now, although I just made my account because I have just needed one for the first time. So I was wondering if anyone knows how to a clone of Plants Vs. Zombies. I watched @tshirtbooth boogle walk through, and was wondering if somebody could do about the same thing. So is there anybody that would make a couple walk through tutorials on how to make a clone of Plants Vs. Zombies! I'm sure many people would want the same. I'm sure you could even charge like $5 on the tutorials so you could make some money and greatly help this amazing community!

@Bar Up Games tshirtbooth already made a template for this game. It's located on gshelper.com. Im sure it's a couple pages into the gs templates page, though.

I made a clone that I use with my students, but the tutorial videos are not going to help you that much because I coded about 75% of the difficult rules and left the easier 25% for my students to complete. I'd be willing to help answer questions you have about that type of game. The key for me was to have grid squares placed on the scene that communicate via booleans with the "card" actors (used for buying plants) to determine when a card has been selected, and then through a text attribute which card has been selected, and finally whether a plant is already placed on that grid square. Beyond that, it just involved spawning an actor on top of the grid square and giving the actor some rules for interacting with the zombies.

Well could you post the link to what you show'd them? I think that would still help me I just need to see how to make it. I am willing to do it from scratch but I just can't figure out how to. So I was just wanting some videos from the very beggining to the end...

Start with the video titled "1 Ants v. Bees." There are 8 more videos following that.
