Help with jumping.

I am having a lot of trouble getting my character to jump. I copied the behaviors from the platformer template onto my character, but he won't do anything like what happens in the template. When I replace the images from the template with my images, the template works fine, so I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong with my project. Could someone please explain how to make him jump?

    Thanks so much! I'm really impressed with how the community around here helps each other out - I'm a former Corona user and wish I hadn't wasted my time/money on that platform. :)
