Just found a game on Android very similar to mine??

Hi Guys,
I have just found a game very similar to what I am working on, actually its the same character (its a flying witch on a broomstick- sidescroller).. although this game is more about avoiding objects while flying, mine was more about shooting bad guys while flying and avoiding objects..
My artwork does look completely different, music, sounds, etc.. and the name of course.
Should I just press on and forget about it?? (I think I will)... the whole 'original game idea' is really gone out the window.. its my first game, so I guess I learnt an important lesson of search to see what is out there first..

In general … all games, in the same genre, are going to have similarities …
in characters and in movement
What differentiates them is the things you have listed … especially the objectives for the player!
pay no attention to what is out there! … often similar games are highly successful!
Your game is original in your interpretation!
Stop looking at other games … and finish yours … so we all can enjoy it!
