Xcode Installation failed.

Hey guys, Im trying to download Xcode for snow leopard and when I click install, it says:

There were error with the installation. You may want to try installing again. An unknown installation error occurred. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

Can you guys help?

@calvin9403 Im running OsX 10.6.8 and trying to install which ever Xcode was on the Apple Dev Site (3.x.x).

I tried Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard and it had the same Install error. I just dropped $107.99 on my iOS developer program and cant buy Lion (High School senior budget

try trashing all older/newer versions of Xcode ???

contact Apple support … usually very quick to respond
(Contact the software manufacturer…)

Make sure you chose to install it at the hard drive level and not the home folder level
