Free Voice Acting

I'm new to the field off voice acting and I've always been told that I have the right kind of voice for it. I'll do some free acting for any games you guys need, as long as I am properly credited.

I recommend you post samples on a website somewhere...with contact info.

    Oh lol,

Yeah, I'm sure I'll do that sometime.
    THanks!

I second the web sample idea. Although new to games, my studio on occasion hires voice work for video and web projects. I'd like to hear your voice.

I have a quick sample I have done which incorporates almost no acting skill whatsoever,
    just my normal everyday talk,

    If you want acting,
just specify what kinda voice you'd like and I'll do it,

you can contact me at josephvincent84@yahoo.com

Sounds pretty normal to me...not sure if you got anything special...
Nothing personal...just not sure you have a "Character" voice.

You need a voice like the Dirty Jobs/Deadliest Catch guy to do narration.

I recommend you get a website...and put a few voiceover samples on it portraying different types of characters (ie...wizard, clown, etc.)

If you need a script...use NON-famous lines from old TV or movies (stuff people won't recognize).

VO work is just as much a performance as acting.

If you think you have the chops for voice acting, check out Voice123.com.

You can listen to what other people have sampled themselves with, in order to give you an idea of what people might be looking for when you want to get picked.

    Listen to these: http://voice123.com/doc/samples.html

    Good luck.

I could do with some voice acting for my game actually.

I won't accept it for free though. What would be an acceptable rate do you think for one liners?

    $10 USD for a line? 15?

Anybody else want to do some? I need about 5 voices, (or one male, one female voice distorted works too I suppose) and each voice will do 2 lines.

A positive "thank you" line and a negative "noooo" type line

    Preferably native US english.

    I'd do it for 10 a line.

    I'll work on it tomorrow.

um let me check out two lines first.

The "thanks" and the nooo are for an unemployed Mechanic character.

Thanks: Thanks, now I can pay my mortgage this month.

Nooo: But I am going to lose my house now!
