make an interger attribute called soundOff

In your sound button have a rule when touch is pressed
-change attribute soundOff to (soundOff+1)%2

Then have another rule when attribute soundOff=1
change attribute device audio sound volume to 0
OTHERWISE
change attribute device audio sound volume to 1

-change image to sound off image
OTHERWISE
-change image to sound on image
