Player Animation Fail

I have followed tshirtbooth's tutorial on the side scroller, but when I try to animate my player, it seems like it just goes between two frames really quickly. Also, after pressing either left or right, and let go, my player just keeps sliding in that direction.

    Hi @zNiiC

How many animation frames have you got in your Animation behaviour; and what is the fps you've set?

I have 3. The fps for both left and right is 10. I used the platformer template with my animations and it worked.

Not certain why you got the result you were expecting with only 3 frames of animation, to be honest, especially if you've got it cycling just over 3 times every second....

Perhaps try the fps as 6, to see if that's more acceptable to you; and/or adding more frames.

As for the sliding, I'm guessing Acceleration is being used; perhaps add some drag to the actor.

I'm certain TSB's template is just fine for a platformer, but there's more than one way for many aspects of a platformer. Have you checked out "Platformer Template"? THat might shed some light on some things.

The only reason why I'm not using the platformer template is because im using tshirtbooths cover flow menu :), and I can't combine the two projects. I used the platformer template and it worked with about 3 or 4 frames at 10 fps.
