Jaxel Studios - seeking Partnership - FREE and new concept idea

BreckenBrecken Member Posts: 143
Hello All,

I am the co founder of Jaxel Studios (www.jaxelstudios.com) - we launched in January and our first app "MOTR Coin Flip Lite" made it in the top 100 dice apps in over 20 countries (number 2 in Greece!). Not bad for our first app and we plan on releasing 4 more titles before the end of the year. I would like to ask if anyone is interested in becoming a partner with us. By partner I mean a developer or design team that would :

Help promote each others apps on each others websites ( e.g. free cross promotion)
Rate and review apps released for each other
Help each other if we have the time for bug fixing/ GS help
Possibly in the future even co create an app ( completely optional)

It's a simple concept. I do not view other developers as competition but more as people to help work with and promote. It's completely free and I am currently looking for around 3 partners. Here are Jaxel Studios our primary audience is children. So your apps must be to our standard of no:

Bad Language
Violence
Blood
Graphic content

If you are interested please let me know. We will create a dedicated page called "partners" and help cross promote any apps you release. I think this could be a great free way to help each other out. We have done a similar thing with a sponsor page , you can see the style here.

I'm interested as I design apps for children and would offer my services as a GameSalad bugfinder/consultant but I gotta say my first impression is not a good one when you state that your primary audience is children and that apps must have no violence or graphic content and then the first sponsor on your website is this:

I have no problem with this, its a website that offers military kit. Children see guns on TV all the time. As long as there is no violence or blood is the most important thing. Do you have a website I can look at?

Thanks for your response, but as a teacher and parent, I am not comfortable with the idea of a website that promotes children's apps and at the same time features violent military content. We can disagree about the nature of that image, but an image of a soldier holding a gun in a firing position is a no-brainer for me.

I do think you have an interesting proposal and I wish you luck with it.

Many thanks for your comments Tatiang. I appreciate your opinion. However I would not agree the image " features violent military content" - Its a picture of a serviceman. People see guns everyday and in the US are raised with them. The website doesnt sell guns and only military equipment such as clothing and backpacks. I am happy to have them as a sponsor. Many thanks for the good luck message.

You're kidding me? A children's app developer who is sponsored by someone that sells clothes to people who kill people? And you call that acceptable? [-X

It IS kind of amusing. :)
By the way, your poll allows you to vote multiple times. Might want to fix that.

Thanks for the poll comment will take a look. It shouldnt do. Our apps are aimed for all ages but must be suitable for children yes. I have no problem with our sponsor. I support the military and served myself. Im not telling children to go out and kill people here! It's just one small sponsor on a sponsor page. Let's not over react here. Of course if it was anything in appropriate I would not allow them as a sponsor. Thank you all for the comments.

Justme - If I try to vote more than once it says " Thank you, we have already counted your vote. " Are you sure you voted twice? Or was it from two different IP addresses? Appreciate the feedback

It was from one IP address, but I just tried it again and it appears to be working correctly now.

since posting this article I have had 3 more sponsors. Thank you so far for the partnership offers. I am still interested in having 3-5 partners to cross promote each others apps. Of course if you would also like to be a sponsor let me know
