GameSalad 0.9.92 and OS X Lion - Does It Work?

Hey there everyone,

I know this question has been asked before, but since I could never find a clear definite answer, and because GameSalad has come out with several updates recently, I thought I would start a new thread to find out if the latest version of GameSalad is compatible with OS X Lion.

I've been debating about wether or not to update my MacBook Pro to the latest version of OS X, but first I need to know that GameSalad will work fine on it first. Any clarification on the subject would be appreciated! Thanks everyone.

I think there was a problem a long time ago(when lion was first out) but it works more than perfectly now.

@uptimistik and @theCodeMonsters: That's what I like to hear! Thank you both for the quick response. Just out of curiosity, do either of you use iCloud to back up your Mac? That's one of the primary reasons I'm updating to Lion, so any knowledge you might have with that would also be great.

You cannot back up your mac's hard drive onto iCloud. However iCloud does let you back up things like mail, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, notes, etc. But you can use iCloud to back up your iOS devices.

@theCodeMonsters: I knew you couldn't back up your entire hard drive like Time Machine does, but I thought you could back up documents and folders. Can you, or anyone else, confirm this?

Yes you can, however this is something that developers take advantage of. In other words its not like dropbox where you can put files in and out.

@theCodeMonsters: So with iCloud I could only back up docs, spreadsheets, etc. and not GameSalad Projects?

Yes iCloud isn't a physical place you can just throw stuff, it's built in to apps to save docs and such. But with dropbox just create the folder wherever you want and anything you place there is backed up and also available on another machine if you wish.

It works great, but the two things that I'm disappointed GS didn't add targeted at lion is it's versioning and fullscreen.
